Course Objectives: 
The aim of the course is to introduce students the basic design elements and principles. It is an introductory course to apply these elements and principles on given assignments. Conceptual dimension of design is questioned and evaluated by discussing some contemporary examples.
Course Content: 

Cultural, historical and social context of design is debated. The basic elements and principles of design is introduced. Various international design projects are examined. The basic processes of design such as: Thinking, looking and making are analyzed and practiced.
