The Past, Present, and Future of Journalism Seminar was successfully held under the organization of the Faculty of Communication, with the participation of experienced journalist Ali Demirtaş.
The seminar addressed key topics such as the impact of digitalization on journalism, media ethics, news production in the field, and the rise of new media platforms. Participants not only gained inspiring insights but also had the opportunity to engage in an interactive session with Ali Demirtaş and ask their questions directly.

On Thursday, November 21, as part of the PRP 207 – Public Relations Practices and Case Studies course conducted by Dr. Ege Simge Demirel, we hosted Melis Kabadayı, Communications Manager at Akbank, for an event themed "The New Language of Corporate Communication: Reputation Management in the Digital Age."

As part of the PRP 437 – Artificial Intelligence in Public Relations course, we had the pleasure of hosting Hakan Şık, co-founder of Tooken Technology, for a session themed "Artificial Intelligence: Will Robots Take Over Marketing and Communication?"
We sincerely thank him for his valuable contributions.

We hosted Renan Bilek as a guest in the course of Asst. Prof. Dr. Özgenur Reyhan Güler at Yeditepe University. He shared the art of storytelling in both cinema and theater through his own life in such a sincere way that we all felt like we were inside a story ourselves. Learning from his experiences and hearing how he creates stories across different platforms was truly inspiring. He said that storytelling is the strongest bond that connects people to life, and he gave us an unforgettable day. Thank you, Renan Bilek.

Under the supervision of our department faculty member, Associate Professor Dr. Özlem Akkaya, Cansın Gülsoy and İnci Kaypaklı have been awarded first place in the Communication Campaign category at the TRT Future Communicators competition with their project titled "Traces of the Past." We congratulate our students on their outstanding achievement.

Our graduates Sezin Cörüt, Şeyma Özsoy, and Ebru Güzel have been awarded Third Place at the TRT Future Communicators Competition 2025 with their project “Women Empowered Through Digital.”
Focusing on strengthening women’s presence in the digital sphere, the project was designed to create meaningful impact in the field of communication.
