Our Public Relations and Publicity Department graduates, Sezin Cörüt, Şeyma Özsoy, and Ebru Güzel, were awarded the Third Prize at the TRT Future Communicators Competition 2025 with their project titled “Women Empowered Through Digital.”
The eleventh edition of the competition aims to foster young communicators’ innovative perspectives and enhance their content production skills. This year, awards were presented in 12 different categories, including Visual Broadcasting, Radio Broadcasting, News Broadcasting, Digital Broadcasting, and Communication Campaigns. In addition, special awards such as the “TRT Special Award” were also presented.
Within the framework of the 2025 theme, “Digital Literacy,” participating projects were expected to raise awareness on topics such as media literacy, safe internet use, combating disinformation, and conscious media consumption in the digital age.
Our graduates’ project aimed to empower women in social and economic life through the use of digital tools and communication strategies, offering a productive and inclusive perspective under the concept of “women empowered through digital.” Conducted under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özlem Akkaya, the project reflects our graduates’ strong theoretical background as well as their creative capacity.
With this remarkable success, our graduates have made a significant contribution to national recognition by creating impactful work in the field of digital communication.
We sincerely congratulate our graduates on their meaningful achievement and extend our heartfelt thanks to their advisor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özlem Akkaya, for her valuable guidance and support.
